How do I Clean my Abaya?

The best way to clean your abaya is by hand washing, especially for those with delicate embroidery or embellishments. Only scrub areas that need attention. Here’s how to do it:

1. Fill a clean bathtub or sink with cold water and add an appropriate detergent.
2. Gently immerse the abaya in the water and let it soak for a few minutes.
3. Squeeze the fabric gently without rubbing to clean it without causing damage.
4. Rinse the abaya in clean water.
5. Hang it up to dry.

We recommend avoiding direct sunlight to protect the colours and do not use a tumble dryer.
If you prefer to use a washing machine, please consider the following tips to prevent damage:

1. Use the delicate cycle at a low temperature (no more than 30°C) to avoid shrinkage and keep stitching intact.
2. Wash the abaya inside out to help prevent colour fading.
3. Use a mild detergent.
4. We strongly advise machine washing only if the abaya has no embroidery or embellishments.
